"Tmap" and Ministry of Environment Collaborate to Improve Electric Vehicle Charging Service through Public-Private Partnership
Korea Environment Corporation, Automobile Environment Association, and Kakao Mobility Also Join In
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] T map Mobility, Kakao Mobility, and the Ministry of Environment are collaborating to improve electric vehicle charging services.
On the 29th, T map Mobility announced that it signed a "Business Agreement for Providing Smart Services for Electric Vehicle Charging Facilities" with the Ministry of Environment, Korea Environment Corporation, Korea Automobile Environment Association, and Kakao Mobility.
Through this agreement, the Ministry of Environment, Korea Environment Corporation, and Korea Automobile Environment Association will share public data managed on the "Low Emission Vehicle Integrated Website" with T map Mobility. T map Mobility will combine the shared information with its own service platform, T map, to help electric vehicle users conveniently use chargers.
Accordingly, starting at the end of next month, the "Charging Station Fault Reporting and Status Display" feature will be available on T map navigation. Within this year, the service will expand to include charger optimal route search and reservation services, as well as real-time notifications of usage history.
T map Mobility also plans to continuously apply charger-related services such as providing optimal charging facility location information through big data analysis and predicting charger faults through usage pattern analysis. Payment methods will be diversified from the current credit card and membership card payments to QR Pay, PnC (Plug & Charge), and others starting early next year, and smart payments such as integrated payment for parking lots and charging stations will be expanded.
The Ministry of Environment will expand the shared use (roaming) area with charging operators to increase shared data necessary for service development and will also advance the Low Emission Vehicle Integrated Website to manage charging information comprehensively.
