Hancom Supplies AI-Based Solutions to Korea Customs Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] Hancom announced on the 28th that it will supply an artificial intelligence (AI) technology-based optical character recognition (OCR) solution to the Korea Customs Service.
Hancom supports the development of an analysis project that enables automatic extraction and data conversion of eight types of text and image information, including country names, agreement names, issuing agency names, dates, and seals, contained in various customs clearance documents submitted to the Korea Customs Service through OCR.
In addition, Hancom is advancing the OCR engine to extract essential information from invoice documents, which are unstructured documents with different formats by country, to assist in the preparation of import and export declarations and to expand application areas.
