Jeongeup-si Agricultural Technology Center Operates 'Rural Healing Farm Academy Course'

[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] The Jeongeup Agricultural Technology Center in Jeonbuk announced on the 27th that it will operate the "Rural Healing Farm Academy" course for lifestyle culture technology education this year to strengthen the capabilities of farmers and local residents.

This education is a participatory practical training reflecting the educational demands of agriculture and rural areas, designed to improve the life skills of farmers and local residents.

In particular, the plan is to foster professionals with skills in utilizing rural resources to promote vitality in the local community.

Before the education, the city received applications last month and selected 25 trainees. The course started on the 21st and will be conducted a total of 12 times until the 26th of next month.

The education content includes the concept and definition of healing agriculture, examples of healing service types, developing healing programs, and creating healing spaces.

In accordance with social distancing measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the city plans to thoroughly follow quarantine guidelines such as providing hand sanitizers in the training room, wearing masks, and checking temperatures during the education.

According to the "Act on Research, Development, and Promotion of Healing Agriculture" enforced on March 25, 2021, education is being operated to revitalize healing farms centered on rural resources for healing agriculture.

After operating the Rural Healing Farm Academy course, the city plans to conduct the "Healthy Fermented Traditional Liquor Manufacturing Course" starting in October.

An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, "We will establish a foundation for fostering the healing service industry using rural resources, expand the influx of rural tourists, and create rural development and new income sources as healing spaces utilizing rural healing resources."
