The men's archery team defeated Japan to advance to the finals of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic team event.
The men's team, consisting of Oh Jin-hyek (Hyundai Steel), Kim Woo-jin (Cheongju City Hall), and Kim Je-deok (Gyeongbuk High School), won against the Japanese team composed of Muto Hiroki, Kawata Yuki, and Furukawa Takaharu at the Yumenoshima Park Archery Field in Tokyo on the 26th during the semifinals of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics men's team event. The match went to a shoot-off, which ended 28-28, but Kim Je-deok's arrow was closer to the center of the target, securing their place in the final.

The team will face the winner of the Taiwan-Netherlands match at 4:40 PM the same day for the gold medal. If they win again, the team will achieve back-to-back men's team event championships following the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
