Korea Petroleum Management Service's New Chairman Cha Dong-hyung Inaugurated
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] Cha Donghyung, former director of Ulsan Technopark, was inaugurated as the new chairman of the Korea Petroleum Management Service on the 26th.
Chairman Cha, a native of Busan, graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Business Administration and earned a master's degree from the same graduate school. After passing the 31st Administrative Examination, he began his public service career in 1989 at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, serving as Director of New Industry Policy and Director of Industrial Technology Policy, among other positions. Since 2018, he has served as the director of Ulsan Technopark.

In his inaugural speech, Chairman Cha stated, "We will not only fulfill our duties such as establishing a sound petroleum distribution order but also expand the functions and roles of the Korea Petroleum Management Service in line with the diversification of energy sources such as hydrogen."
