Late Son Jeongmin's Father, "Collecting Petitions and Even Doing This Work... I Will Face Challenges Without Fear"
[Asia Economy Reporter Seoyoung Kwon] Son Hyun (50), the father of Son Jeongmin (22), who was found dead after going missing at Seoul Hangang Park, expressed his gratitude to the citizens who submitted petitions.
On the 20th, Son Hyun posted an article titled "Thank You" on his blog. He began by saying, "When I get off at the subway station on my way home and walk, I pass by the elementary school Jeongmin attended and the playground where he often played," adding, "As I pass by, I recall Jeongmin's past image every day."
Son said, "A user with the nickname 'Jipjuin' gathered and sent photos of those who had submitted petitions so far." He expressed his gratitude, saying, "He has been watching over my blog and supporting me the most, and I am amazed that he even did this work."
He then attached images of the petitions and added, "Although many who helped are not shown here, I deeply thank them once again, and I hope the recipients truly understand this feeling." He also stated, "I believe the way I can repay is to persistently uncover the truth until the end," and "Whether it becomes a wall or darkness, I will not be afraid and will take on the challenge."
He said, "Jeongmin was such a wonderful child to me for 21 years and 6 months," adding, "He gave me happiness when I did not know what a good father-son relationship should be," and "Now that I am old enough to let go and live my life peacefully, it is very regrettable."
