Seoul City Opens Public Recruitment for Gender Equality Award Candidates Until July 6
Discovering Organizations and Individuals Contributing to Gender Equality Advancement in Various Fields Including Politics, Economy, Society, and Culture
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 23rd that it will publicly recruit candidates until the 6th for the 'Seoul Metropolitan Government Gender Equality Award,' which honors organizations and citizens who have contributed to the advancement of gender equality.
Marking its 18th year, the Seoul Gender Equality Award plans to select a total of six recipients: one Grand Prize winner, two Excellence Award winners, and three Merit Award winners. Candidates will be finally selected after a thorough investigation and verification of their achievements, followed by a rigorous review by a committee of external experts. The award ceremony is scheduled to be held in conjunction with the Gender Equality Week events in September.
Required documents include one recommendation letter, one achievement report, one achievement summary, supporting evidence documents, and one consent form for registration on the Seoul Metropolitan Government website. Submissions can be made via in-person delivery, registered mail, or online.

Kim Seon-soon, Director of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Women and Family Policy Office, stated, “We aim to discover citizens and organizations that have made significant contributions to realizing gender equality and thereby contribute to the creation and spread of a gender-equal social culture.” She added, “We hope for many applications from individuals and organizations actively working to promote gender equality, and we encourage people to actively recommend those around them or organizations.”
