Gyeonggi Economic Science Institute, Recruiting Companies for Textile Fabric and Design Development Project
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Institute of Economy and Science Promotion are recruiting participating companies for the 'Fabric and Clothing Design Development Support Project' until the 30th of this month to strengthen the design competitiveness of textile companies in the province.
This project is being promoted to support the enhancement of design capabilities of local textile companies through clothing design and sample production.
In particular, from this year, through the newly established eco-friendly and safety fields, companies with differentiated strategies such as low-allergy fabrics and eco-friendly textiles will be actively discovered and supported.
The Gyeonggi Institute of Economy and Science Promotion is recruiting a total of 17 companies, including 10 in the general category and 7 in the eco-friendly and safety category. Selected companies can receive support for clothing production up to 2.5 million KRW in the general category and up to 3 million KRW in the eco-friendly and safety category.
Companies wishing to participate in the project can apply online through the Gyeonggi Province Small and Medium Business Support Information Portal EasyBiz or submit related documents via email, mail, or fax.
The Gyeonggi Institute of Economy and Science Promotion is also promoting a textile design project that supports fabric pattern development and related consulting to support the province's specialized textile industry.

Yoo Seung-kyung, director of the Gyeonggi Institute of Economy and Science Promotion, stated, "Gyeonggi Province is home to 19.1% of the nation's textile and clothing production businesses," adding, "Through this project, we will do our best to enhance the competitiveness of textile companies and promote the development of the textile industry."
