Gwangju Urban Railway Corporation Conducts 'Emergency Response Drill' to Enhance Accident Management Capability
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation (President Yoon Jinbo) announced on the 21st that it conducted an 'Emergency Response Drill' led by the Head of the Technical Headquarters at the Yongsan Vehicle Depot in Dong-gu, Gwangju, to enhance rapid initial response and accident handling capabilities in case of disaster situations.
Assuming a train fire scenario, this drill simulated the entire accident response process from fire suppression and passenger rescue to towing the damaged train and returning it to the depot, helping employees improve their emergency response skills.
In particular, Technical Headquarters Director Lee Gye-seung personally supervised the site, strengthening coordination among technical fields and rechecking the duties and roles of each department, thereby conducting a highly effective drill that elevated disaster response capabilities to the next level.
