[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the morning of the 20th, Jinju City in Gyeongnam held an appointment ceremony for four members of the Jinju Agricultural Products Joint Brand Management Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) at the city hall situation room and convened a review meeting to approve the use of the joint brand application.
The Committee is composed of 10 members including city councilors, agricultural product production and shipment organizations, producer groups, and agricultural experts. During their two-year term, they review the approval and cancellation of the use of the city’s agricultural products joint brand, and provide advisory services related to the quality, distribution, operation, and post-management of the joint brand.
Following the appointment ceremony, the city held a review meeting for the approval of joint brand use and granted brand usage rights to three organizations.
At this review meeting, the brand use was approved for a total of 13 items, adding two items, rice and eggs, to the existing 11 fresh agricultural products such as pears, persimmons, strawberries, and paprika.

Jinju Mayor Cho Gyu-il stated, “For the brand to become one that consumers can trust and purchase, it is necessary to approve brand use through a systematic approval process applying quality control standards, and the role of the committee members is most important,” and urged, “We will continue to pay attention to improving the brand’s recognition.”
