The "Emergency Allowance for Job-Seeking Youth" is a project temporarily promoted only by Seo-gu among Gwangju autonomous districts to support stable employment preparation for local unemployed youth who are having difficulties seeking jobs due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, such as delays in employment exams and a shrinking recruitment market.
Selected youth will receive a total of 2.5 million KRW over five sessions until November, along with employment lectures covering overall job-seeking activities.
This employment success special lecture was organized to help strengthen youth's employment will and competitiveness, including ▲ ways to enhance self-value ▲ goal setting through company analysis ▲ methods for establishing action plans.
According to a survey on the special lecture, more than 95% of participants responded that they were satisfied with the education, and many expressed that it provided useful information for job preparation and concrete methods for employment success, serving as an opportunity to renew their determination to find a job.
Seo Dae-seok, Mayor of Seo-gu, said, "Along with the youth employment cliff caused by COVID-19, the recruitment market has diversified, which I believe will increase the burden on youth preparing for employment. I hope this emergency allowance support for job-seeking youth will help them quickly adapt to the changed environment and focus on job-seeking activities even a little."
