Songpa-gu Entertainment Venue Caught Secretly Operating Despite Gathering Ban
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Owners of entertainment bars who were secretly operating despite the government's gathering ban were caught by the police.
According to the police on the 20th, the Songpa Police Station in Seoul apprehended a total of 19 people, including 4 staff members and 15 customers, at an entertainment bar in Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, around 10 PM the previous day for violating the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act.
After receiving a report that "an entertainment establishment is operating illegally," the police, along with fire department and district office officials, raided the site and caught the offenders. The police plan to notify the district office of the names of the 19 individuals caught and request administrative action.
