[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] On the 19th, the Miryang City Public Health Center in Gyeongnam announced that it is operating the 'Our Neighborhood Mind Connection Project' aimed at early detection and intervention of mental health issues to improve the treatment rate of mental illnesses.
The Mind Connection Project is a service that provides information about mental health and supports recovery so that those who are struggling with depression, anxiety, alcohol use, suicide, and other concerns while using neighborhood pharmacies and primary medical institutions can receive appropriate mental health services.
Lee Jeong-hoon Internal Medicine Clinic located in Nae-i-dong and Suseong Pharmacy are participating to assist individuals who do not realize that their physical symptoms are based on mental problems and those who have mental health difficulties but are reluctant to seek treatment, enabling them to receive counseling at the Miryang City Mental Health Welfare Center with ease.
Additionally, the participating clinics and pharmacies are equipped with Mind Diagnosis Kits to allow individuals to self-assess their depression levels, and mental health services are provided through regular monitoring.
