[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Ryoo Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, expressed his gratitude to high school seniors and staff receiving their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine over three days from the 19th to the 21st.
The vaccination targets include 2,962 high school seniors and staff from 10 high schools and 4 alternative schools in the area.
The vaccinations are being administered with the Pfizer vaccine at two centers: the 1st Center (Jungnang Culture and Sports Center) and the 2nd Center (Jungnang-gu Office). The second dose will be given sequentially from August 9 to 11, three weeks later.
This vaccination effort is being conducted sequentially by school and class to minimize inconvenience for high school seniors preparing for the college entrance early admissions and the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT).
Appointments are scheduled at 30-minute intervals per class to significantly reduce waiting times through a systematic system. The vaccination targets include not only local high schools but also alternative schools such as Godream School.
Mayor Ryoo Kyung-gi of Jungnang-gu stated, “We will ensure the smooth progress of vaccinations for high school seniors ahead of the 2022 College Scholastic Ability Test. We will accelerate the third-quarter vaccination efforts and do our best to protect the safety and lives of all residents.”

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, Seoul, visited the vaccination site at Nowon-gu Citizen Sports Center at 9 a.m. on the 19th, where COVID-19 vaccinations for high school seniors and staff are underway.
This vaccination is targeted at high school seniors (including early graduates) and staff (workers) and is scheduled to continue from the 19th to the 30th.
The district is administering vaccinations by distributing approximately 9,656 eligible individuals from 29 high schools and out-of-school youth in the area to two vaccination centers (Nowon-gu Citizen Sports Center and Wolgye Culture and Sports Center) to ensure rapid vaccination.
The vaccinations will be administered using the Pfizer vaccine. Recipients should bring their ID, pre-screening questionnaire, and vaccination consent form (completed by a guardian if underage) when visiting.
During his visit, Mayor Oh Seung-rok met with students and staff who are anxious due to the worsening COVID-19 situation ahead of early admissions and the CSAT, offering words of comfort and emphasizing COVID-19 prevention guidelines.
Mayor Oh Seung-rok of Nowon-gu said, “Please focus on maintaining your best condition until the end to achieve your goals. We will do our utmost to stop the spread as soon as possible.”
Mapo-gu Begins COVID-19 Vaccinations for High School Seniors and Staff
Mapo-gu (Mayor Yoo Dong-gyun) started COVID-19 vaccinations on the 19th for 259 out of a total of 3,176 high school seniors and staff from 16 schools preparing for the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT).
The vaccinations for high school seniors and staff will be conducted from July 19 to 30 at two Mapo-gu vaccination centers (Mapo Art Center and Mapo Citizen Sports Center).
