Woorinet Develops 'IoT-Dedicated Industrial Router'... "Installation in Domestic Public Institutions via KT"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Optical communication network specialist Woorinet announced on the 19th that it has introduced the IoT-dedicated industrial router ‘WR-L410K’, which is scheduled to be installed in public institutions and agencies through KT.
Woorinet’s ‘WR-L410K’ is characterized by its reasonable pricing aimed at supplying public institutions and agencies. It is equipped with Qualcomm’s ‘MDM9270 LTE CAT4’, supporting DL (downlink) 150Mbps standard, providing an actual speed of about 10Mbps. It can be used in two ways: wired and wireless, allowing versatile use depending on the customer’s environment. Additionally, it offers GPS functionality, enabling precise equipment operation linked with location information.
A Woorinet official stated, “We have currently supplied the initial quantity to KT and expect additional orders,” adding, “We will not only focus on simple delivery but also actively manage customers through continuous maintenance to achieve full-scale performance.”
Meanwhile, Woorinet recorded consolidated sales of 14.2 billion KRW in the first quarter, marking a 17% growth compared to the same period last year. Operating losses and net losses were both 700 million KRW, significantly reducing the deficit compared to the previous year. From the second half of the year, a full-scale performance rebound is expected, focusing on 5G IoT modules and terminal business.
