COVID-19 4th Wave... 295 New Cases Confirmed at Temporary Screening Centers Nationwide
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Due to the impact of the 4th wave of COVID-19, confirmed cases are rapidly increasing even at temporary screening clinics nationwide.
According to the Central Disease Control Headquarters (CDCH) on the 18th, 295 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were identified at temporary screening clinics the previous day. By region, 282 cases were in the Seoul metropolitan area, and 13 cases were in non-metropolitan areas.
In the Seoul metropolitan area, as of midnight on the same day, 20.1% of the 1,402 new confirmed cases were detected at screening clinics. Compared to the 959 confirmed cases occurring in the metropolitan area, this accounts for 29.4%.
