511 Confirmed Cases in Seoul by 9 PM... 34 Fewer Than Previous Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Seoul was tentatively counted at 511 over a 21-hour period from midnight to 9 p.m. on Saturday the 17th.
Compared to the same time frame, this is 34 fewer cases than the 545 reported the previous day and 46 more than the 465 reported a week earlier on the 10th. The total number of confirmed cases for the entire day was 562 on the previous day and 509 on the 10th.
The daily number of confirmed cases in Seoul rose to the 300s at the end of last month, and from the 6th to the 16th of this month, the counts were 583→550→503→509→509→403→417→638→520→570→562. Except for two days affected by the weekend, all days recorded over 500 cases.
The 638 cases on the 13th set a record for the highest number of daily confirmed cases in Seoul, with the previous highest being 583 cases on the 6th.
