According to Chungnam Province on the 17th, the organic agriculture complex will be established on a 39,518㎡ site in Naegok-ri, Nam-myeon, Buyeo-gun (former Namseong Middle School area).
The province and Buyeo-gun plan to invest a total of 18 billion KRW (9 billion KRW national funds, 4.5 billion KRW provincial funds, 4.5 billion KRW county funds) by 2024 to create an organic agriculture complex equipped with experience facilities, sales centers, and agricultural product processing and distribution facilities.
In the future, the organic agriculture complex will play a role in promoting the value of eco-friendly agriculture by providing consumers with food, sights, experiences, and education, while expanding sales channels for eco-friendly agricultural products and increasing farmers' income.
Previously, the province established a 'Comprehensive Food Plan' in 2019 and has continuously proposed and prepared the need for facilities that can function as an organic agriculture complex.
Additionally, Buyeo-gun succeeded in attracting the organic agriculture complex project by emphasizing its geographical advantage adjacent to large cities, agricultural conditions producing various eco-friendly agricultural products with expansion potential, and cultural conditions preserving the history of Baekje.
