At around 12:43 PM on the same day, Mokpo Maritime Police received a report that fishing boat A (9.77 tons, registered in Jindo, 1 captain, 16 passengers) was drifting due to engine failure near Manjaedo, Sinan-gun.
The maritime police immediately dispatched a patrol vessel, safely transferred all 16 passengers from the accident site onto the patrol vessel, and transported them to Seomang Port, Jindo-gun.
