Dr. Hyunju Lee, Psychologist with Experience in Large Corporations, IT Companies, and Government Agencies, Appointed as First Employee Rights Protection Officer
[Asia Economy Reporter Sunmi Park] IBK Industrial Bank announced on the 16th that it has appointed Lee Hyun-joo as the Employee Rights Protection Officer through an open position recruitment.
Lee Hyun-joo, appointed as the Employee Rights Protection Officer, is a clinical psychology Ph.D. with about 27 years of experience. She is an expert with extensive experience in grievance counseling at various organizations such as Samsung Electronics, Nexon, AhnLab, and government agencies.
Lee was evaluated as a suitable candidate for the Employee Rights Protection Officer by accepting various situations from the perspective of the client, including personal conflicts, sexual harassment, workplace bullying, and psychiatric disorders, and applying consistent principles. The Employee Rights Protection Officer, introduced for the first time in a domestic bank by IBK, is a position newly established to fit IBK based on a system that President Yoon Jong-won paid close attention to while serving as an Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and operates directly under the bank president.
Separately from the role of the Compliance Officer responsible for existing ethical management, this position oversees employee rights protection tasks such as employee grievance counseling, ethics report reception, and victim protection.
