According to local media on the 15th, the damage was concentrated in the Eifel region of Rhineland-Palatinate, where rain fell overnight. Six houses collapsed due to the heavy rain, resulting in 4 deaths and 70 people missing. Local authorities declared a state of emergency.
In Euskirchen, North Rhine-Westphalia, 8 people died, and 2 people died in Cologne and Unna. Among the deceased were 2 firefighters who were conducting rescue operations.
