70-Year-Old Man Inspecting Flood Recovery Site Falls to Death After Slipping
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] A man in his 70s who climbed a steep hill to inspect flood recovery work in Haenam, Jeonnam, fell and died after slipping.
According to the Jeonnam Haenam Police Station on the 15th, a report was received at 4:17 p.m. the previous day that Mr. A (78) had fallen at the flood recovery site.
The 119 rescue and emergency team rushed to the scene and transported Mr. A to the hospital, but he eventually died due to severe head injuries.
Police investigation confirmed that Mr. A had climbed to a height of more than 10 meters to inspect flood recovery work such as rebuilding a collapsed retaining wall caused by recent heavy rain, and slipped.
