The Daesan Insurance Award was established in 2006 by the Daesan Shin Yong-ho Memorial Foundation to inherit and develop the spirit of Shin Yong-ho, the founder of Kyobo Life Insurance, known as 'Daesan (大山).' It is the largest award in the domestic insurance sector, recognizing individuals or organizations who have made significant contributions to the development of the domestic insurance industry through insurance industry advancement and insurance academic research.
Each grand prize winner in the respective categories will receive 50 million KRW, totaling 100 million KRW in prize money along with a plaque.
Candidates can be recommended by the foundation’s recommendation committee members, researchers in the insurance field, or personnel from related organizations. Recommendation letters will be accepted until September 10, and the relevant forms can be downloaded from the foundation’s website. The final winners will be selected after preliminary and final evaluations in each category, as well as on-site inspections, with an awards ceremony scheduled for early December.
