'Small Business Export Center' Opens First Location: "Expanding Market Access by Matching Overseas Buyers"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Enterprise and Market Service will open a Small Business Export Center at Dream Square in Mapo-gu, Seoul on the 15th.
The Small Business Export Center is a specialized center that provides small business owners with export opportunities and successful experiences through education and consulting to strengthen export capabilities, the formation and operation of export networks, and dissemination of export cases. It is expected to lay the foundation for pioneering overseas markets.
In particular, through a public-private joint effort, the center plans to discover 'promising small business exporters' and link support for their overseas expansion. It will also regularly hold 'buyer consultation meetings' that match small business owners with overseas buyers to promote excellent products from small businesses abroad.
The buyer consultation meeting held on this day will be conducted via non-face-to-face video conferencing due to the spread of COVID-19. It will match buyers from Taiwan and Japan with small business owners to introduce products from excellent domestic small businesses.
The newly opened Small Business Export Center is expected to serve as a stepping stone for small business owners, who face challenges such as ▲small scale, ▲low understanding of the export environment, and ▲operations focused mainly on their current business, to find export channels.
