5% Special Cashback at Streaming, Delivery, Shopping, and Other Special Franchise Stores
0.5% Basic Cashback Without Conditions at General Franchise Stores
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Lotte Card announced on the 15th that it has launched the 'KakaoBank Lotte Card' in collaboration with the internet-only bank KakaoBank, offering up to 5% cashback benefits.
This card is characterized by providing a special 5% cashback benefit in industries such as streaming, delivery, transportation, food, and shopping, which are most frequently used by the 2030 generation, the main users of KakaoBank, based on an analysis of their consumption patterns. Additionally, it offers a basic 0.5% cashback benefit with no spending conditions at all domestic and international merchants.
If the usage amount last month was 400,000 KRW or more, a 5% cashback on the amount spent is provided for payments of 10,000 KRW or more per transaction at special merchants grouped into six categories: ▲Streaming & Wine (Netflix, Watcha, YouTube Premium, TVING, Wine & More) ▲Easy Payment & Delivery (KakaoPay, Baedal Minjok, Yogiyo, Coupang Eats) ▲Transportation (Kakao T, SoCar, public transportation) ▲Food (Starbucks, Blue Bottle, Burger King, Subway, Shake Shack) ▲Convenience Stores (CU, GS25, 7-Eleven) ▲Shopping & Accommodation (Musinsa Store, Market Kurly, Lotte, Shinsegae, Hyundai Outlet, E-Mart, Homeplus, Yanolja, Here We Go). The cashback is capped at 5,000 KRW per group and up to 30,000 KRW per month.
Regardless of last month's usage amount, a basic cashback of 0.5% is provided on spending at all domestic and international online and offline merchants. The total cashback limit, combining special and basic cashback, is up to 300,000 KRW per month.
The card design features the 'Chunsik' character to differentiate it from other products. Chunsik is a new Kakao Friends character targeting the MZ generation, introduced last year as Ryan's pet cat. Customers who receive the KakaoBank Lotte Card will also be given a set of Chunsik character stickers along with the physical card.
