First COVID-19 Case Among Cheong Wa Dae Staff... "No Contact with President Moon"
[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] The administrative officer known as the first COVID-19 confirmed case among Cheong Wa Dae staff has been confirmed to be vaccinated.
A Cheong Wa Dae official stated on the 14th, "The administrative officer in question has been vaccinated," adding, "This is the first confirmed case among Cheong Wa Dae employees."
However, Cheong Wa Dae did not disclose specific details about which vaccine the administrative officer received, how many doses were administered, or the time elapsed since vaccination. The identity was also not revealed. Cheong Wa Dae stated that there was no contact between the administrative officer and President Moon.
A Cheong Wa Dae official explained, "Considering personal privacy, it is difficult to provide specific information about the department. Access restrictions and disinfection measures have been implemented in the area where the employee worked, and PCR tests are currently being conducted for all employees who worked in the same space."
Earlier, Cheong Wa Dae spokesperson Park Kyung-mi announced, "One Cheong Wa Dae administrative officer tested positive for COVID-19. The officer underwent PCR testing while working from home due to their spouse’s fever symptoms and was notified of the positive result today."

Spokesperson Park added, "Cheong Wa Dae immediately restricted access to the area where the employee worked and carried out disinfection measures. PCR testing is being conducted for all employees who worked in the same area. Additionally, further necessary measures will be taken according to the epidemiological investigation by health authorities."
