Designation and Management of Landslide-Prone Areas Based on Survey Results
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 14th that it will prioritize reflecting 17 sites identified as landslide risk areas in the survey of landslide-prone areas.
Once designated as a landslide-prone area, mandatory on-site inspections must be conducted at least twice a year.
Gyeongnam Province stated that the restoration work for landslide risk areas has not been carried out because "the Korea Forest Service conducted a survey on landslide risk areas and the results were obtained, but restoration work has been delayed due to lack of national funding."
