Gyeongbuk Province Hosts 'Non-Stop Flight' Event to Ulleungdo and Dokdo... Participants Wanted
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Gyeongbuk Province announced on the 14th that it will promote the "Daegu Airport-Ulleungdo (Dokdo) Non-Stop Sightseeing Flight" event to commemorate and promote the 1st anniversary of the selection of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk New Airport relocation site and the Ulleung Airport scheduled to open in 2025 on the occasion of the August 15 Liberation Day.
This event, held in collaboration with the global leisure platform company "Yanolja," is a non-stop sightseeing flight departing from Daegu Airport at 8:15 a.m. on August 15, circling over the East Coast, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo for about two hours, and then returning to Daegu Airport.
Those who wish to participate should freely draw Dokdo and post it on their personal Instagram with the hashtags (#DaeguGyeongbukIntegratedNewAirport #UlleungAirport #Yanolja #DokdoNonStopTravel) by August 4.
Gyeongbuk Province will select a total of 30 participants and provide them with the opportunity to experience the Ulleungdo-Dokdo non-stop flight.
The aircraft used for the event, the ATR72-500, is a 50-seat small aircraft owned by Hi Air. It is an aircraft type that can actually operate when Ulleung Airport opens in 2025.

Choi Hyuk-jun, head of the Gyeongbuk Province Integrated New Airport Promotion Team, said, "This event was prepared to commemorate the historic 1st anniversary of the selection of the integrated new airport relocation site and to promote the construction of Ulleung Airport."
