[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] On the 13th, the Gyeongnam Miryang Agricultural Technology Center held the '2021 Women Farmers Leadership Development Training' for 17 members of the Korea Women Farmers Miryang City Federation.
This training was organized to boost pride and strengthen organizational cohesion centered on members of the Korea Women Farmers, who are the main actors in agriculture and rural areas, and to cultivate leadership skills as women leaders and revitalize women farmers' organizations.
The training was conducted in two groups, and together with Kim Jeong-hee, CEO of Daom Workshop, participants had the opportunity to experience and practice natural dyeing, providing rural women busy with farming and household chores a chance for mental and physical relaxation and to develop hidden talents.
Chairperson Lee Young-ja said, "It was a valuable time to strengthen the close bonds among members amid the busy daily life in rural areas, and especially the natural dyeing experience provided an opportunity to enhance the cultural sophistication of the members."
