HMM Prioritizes Monthly 265 TEU Capacity for Agricultural and Marine Products Exports
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] HMM announced on the 13th that it has signed a "Business Agreement to Support Export of Agricultural and Marine Products by Sea" with the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT).
Through this business agreement, HMM will prioritize providing dedicated shipping space of 265 TEU per month (66 TEU per week) exclusively for agricultural and marine product companies on temporary vessels on the trans-Pacific route starting this month. The cooperation period is until December this year, and the operation period can be extended through mutual consultation.
Going forward, both parties plan to strive to develop joint cooperative projects based on the principle of mutual benefit, including information provision, business promotion, and linkage of support projects to promote the export of agricultural and marine products.
Earlier, in April, HMM also signed a "Business Agreement to Support Long-term Transportation for Exporting Small and Medium Enterprises" with the Small and Medium Business Corporation, prioritizing shipping space of 350 TEU per voyage to the West Coast of the Americas, 50 TEU to the East Coast of the Americas, and 50 TEU to Europe for small and medium enterprises.
