Samyang Foods Announces Adoption of Consumer-Centered Management (CCM)

Consumer Centered Management is a certification system that evaluates whether a company conducts and improves its management activities centered on consumers. It is operated by the Korea Consumer Agency and certified by the Fair Trade Commission.
At the declaration ceremony held on the 12th at the headquarters in Hawolgok-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, the Consumer Centered Management declaration was announced, and Park Kyungcheol, head of the SCM division, was appointed as the Chief Customer Officer.
Through the declaration, Samyang Foods resolved to strictly adhere to principles such as ▲ prioritizing consumers in all management activities ▲ supplying safe and delicious products for consumers ▲ accepting consumer opinions ▲ preventing and blocking causes of consumer complaints ▲ prioritizing consumer health and happiness. Along with this, the company plans to establish a Consumer Centered Management system throughout the entire process from product planning to development, production, and sales, focusing on enhancing customer trust and satisfaction.
Meanwhile, prior to the Consumer Centered Management declaration ceremony, Samyang Foods held a Human Rights Management declaration ceremony attended by ESG Committee Chair Kim Jeongsu and others. At the declaration, seven principles of human rights management were announced: prohibition of forced labor and child labor, non-discriminatory employment and work environment, guarantee of freedom of association and collective bargaining, industrial safety assurance, protection and management of responsible partners, protection of human rights and environment of local residents, and realization of the values of honesty and trust.

Samyang Foods plans to actively practice human rights management by conducting regular human rights education for its members, establishing a Human Rights Management Committee, setting up a human rights relief process, and conducting human rights impact assessments.
