Goyang-si to Establish 'Sports Park' in Siksadong... Area Equivalent to Two Soccer Fields

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province announced on the 13th that it plans to create a public sports park with a total project cost of approximately 29 billion KRW on a site of about 14,685㎡ in Siksadong, Ilsandong-gu (San 135-1 area).
The (tentatively named) Siksa Sports Center to be built in the sports park will be a complex living sports facility with a total floor area of about 9,104㎡. It will include a swimming pool and bowling alley on the basement level, a multipurpose room on the second floor, and an outdoor tennis court within the park.
The city has promoted the 'Goyang Siksa Sports Park Development Project' by linking residents' opinions gathered through two resident briefings and three TF team operations this year with the public contributions of the urban development project operator.

The city plans to continue operating the TF team to identify improvements to major facilities and ensure efficient management until the completion of the development project, scheduled for June next year.
