[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Recently, confirmed cases have occurred in the metropolitan area and youth-dense regions, prompting Jinju City to hold an emergency meeting with representatives of multi-use facility associations to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The meeting held on the morning of the 12th was chaired by the Director of the City Culture and Tourism Bureau, with representatives of multi-use facilities in attendance. The meeting requested strict compliance with quarantine rules and listened to the opinions and difficulties of the businesses.
Additionally, according to the local government’s autonomous COVID-19 vaccination plan, pre-reservations for vaccination will be available from the 26th for multi-use facility workers born after 1972, who are prioritized for vaccination. Therefore, the associations were asked to identify the lists of workers at their respective companies and encourage participation in vaccination.

One participating company representative suggested, “Although we are managing thoroughly, in cases where users intentionally violate the rules, responsibility should not be placed solely on the businesses. Strong sanctions should also be imposed on customers who violate quarantine rules to hold them accountable and raise awareness.”
