"Life is Like a Flower" is a work selected for the 2021 Culture and Arts Center's Nationwide Cultural Sympathy Project, organized by the Korea Culture and Arts Centers Association. It is a fusion gugak performance by the Korean shamanic punk band "Akdan Kwangchil."
The performance features fusion gugak with lively sounds and dance through a modern interpretation of traditional instruments such as daegeum, ajaeng, and gayageum, along with gut music and Seodo folk songs, without using modern electronic instruments. It presents a stage that exquisitely weaves traditional music of Hwanghae Province with modern music.
Additionally, with its unique energetic sound, it is expected to be a comforting time that uplifts the spirits of Miryang citizens weary from COVID-19 with a sense of hope.
