Jeonnam Regional Post Office Extends Warmth to Underprivileged Local Communities
Donation of Daily Necessities and Supplies to Social Welfare Facilities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Jeonnam Regional Post Office (Acting Director Jeon Sin-gi) recently announced on the 12th that four post offices in the Gwangju and Jeonnam areas (Gwangju, Gwangsan-gu, Mokpo, Muan Post Offices) extended a helping hand to socially marginalized groups in the community struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
They visited nine places including Sinaewon, Pyeonhan Jip, Jeonnam Migrant Women’s Shelter, and Mokpo Disabled Care Center, providing customized sponsorship items worth approximately 9.5 million KRW, including daily necessities and food supplies.
Jeon Sin-gi, Acting Director of the Jeonnam Regional Post Office, said, “We will continue to support marginalized neighbors who are struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and strive to be a post office that fulfills social responsibility.”
Meanwhile, the delivery of sponsorship items to these neighbors in need was conducted as part of the ‘3rd Post Love Relay Challenge.’

Starting with the Jeonnam Regional Post Office, seven post offices have so far provided sponsorship items worth 18 million KRW, and in the future, 20 more post offices in the Gwangju and Jeonnam areas will participate to carry out sharing activities for marginalized groups.
