Gwangju Buk-gu Provides Up to 1.5 Million KRW Support for Local Small Businesses Including Industry Conversion
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Moon In) is providing support of up to 1.5 million KRW to local small business owners who wish to change or add their business type.
Buk-gu announced on the 12th that it will promote the 'Small Business Owners' Reboot Stepping Stone Support Project.'
This project targets small business owners experiencing management difficulties such as sales decline due to COVID-19, providing up to 1.5 million KRW per business for promotional material production costs (such as signboards) and comprehensive consulting for those who wish to receive it.
The support target is small business owners located in Buk-gu who have been operating their business for at least 60 days as of the application date.
Small business owners interested in the project can refer to the Buk-gu Office website and apply to the Livelihood Economy Division by the 30th.
In August, 20 businesses will be selected through document screening and on-site investigation.

Mayor Moon In of Buk-gu said, "I hope this project will provide some support to small business owners striving to recover," and added, "We will continue to create various support measures that are practically helpful to small business owners."
Meanwhile, Buk-gu is promoting various support projects this year to strengthen the self-sustainability of local small business owners, such as special stepping stone guarantees for tenant small business owners, small business owner accompaniment programs, and online sales channels and marketing education.
