[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Won Young-sik, chairman of Chorokbaem Media, continues to dedicate efforts to social contributions for nurturing future leaders and advancing education. For over a decade, he has consistently carried out scholarship projects, serving as a strong support for talented individuals from financially disadvantaged families.
According to industry sources on the 12th, the Jun Scholarship Foundation was started in 2012 by Chairman Won Young-sik and his family to provide tuition and living support so that students facing difficult circumstances could focus on their studies. It is a youth scholarship program supporting about 30 students annually for more than ten years.
In one case, a student supported by the Jun Scholarship Foundation graduated from Daewon Foreign Language High School, is currently attending Woosuk University in Daejeon, and is serving under a military service exemption. Recently, upon hearing that this student's father urgently needed a liver transplant due to cirrhosis but was struggling with the surgery costs, Chairman Won Young-sik, his family, and Chorokbaem Media fully covered the surgery expenses.

The Jun Scholarship Foundation plans to further expand its donation projects.
