The 1st University Technology Startup Idea Camp, Chung-Ang University Team Wins Grand Prize
Kibo Partners with Korea Startup Education Council to Strengthen Commercialization Capabilities of Tech Startup Items
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Jung Yoon-mo, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 12th that the "1st University Technology Startup Idea Camp," co-hosted with the Korea Startup Education Council (Chairman Lee Dong-hee, hereinafter referred to as the Council) to strengthen university students' technology startup capabilities, was successfully concluded.
The camp, held over two weeks starting from the 25th of last month, saw participation from a total of 90 university and graduate students across 25 teams. The camp featured various programs including the 'Test Bridge Competition' to concretize university students' technology startup ideas, special lectures on technology startups, and expert mentoring support. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, all participating teams joined remotely via the real-time video conferencing platform Zoom.
Participants received feedback and mentoring on their startup items three times per team from university professors and Kibo’s doctoral-level experts with extensive practical experience, helping to refine their ideas and enhance their business plans, thereby strengthening the business capabilities of their startup items. The participants attracted attention by proposing innovative and creative technology startup items, and the Snipid team from Chung-Ang University, which presented the item "Volatile fragrance coating technology and manufacturing of special pet disease prevention feed using big data," won the grand prize.
