Inje-gun, 'Haneul Naerin Kimchi' First Export to the UK... Annual Contract Worth $420,000
Vegan Kimchi Varieties Including Mat Kimchi, Baek Kimchi, and Mu Seokbakji
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] 'Haneul Naerin Kimchi' produced in Inje-gun, Gangwon Province, has embarked on its first export route to the UK in the EU (European Union).
On the 11th, Haneul Nongsan Agricultural Cooperative Corporation, a tenant company in the Wontong Agricultural Industrial Complex, announced, "We have signed an export contract worth $420,000 annually (approximately 480 million KRW) with Australia Trading Co., Ltd."
The export items are vegan kimchi varieties such as Mat Kimchi, Baek Kimchi, and Radish Seokbakji. The first shipment consists of one 20-foot reefer (refrigerated) container (worth $35,000 / approximately 4 million KRW) and will be distributed throughout the UK.
Haneul Nongsan Agricultural Cooperative has been leading Inje-gun's agricultural food export business by pioneering the UK European market this year, following Australia in 2018 and the United States in 2019.
The cooperative expects this to be an opportunity to promote the excellent taste and quality of 'Haneul Naerin Kimchi' to vegetarian consumers in the UK.
