Muan Hwangto Getbeol Land, Admission Fee Reduced to 1,000 Won for Residents
Expansion of 10 Bungalow Buildings... Campsite and Accommodation for 5 or More Guests Also Operating Normally
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Jeonnam Muan-gun (Governor Kim San) announced on the 9th that starting from the 12th, the entrance fee for Muan Hwangto Mudflat Land will be reduced so that more residents can observe the mudflat ecology and enjoy leisure activities.
The entrance fee for Muan Hwangto Mudflat Land was 4,000 KRW for adults and 2,000 KRW, a 50% discount, for residents, but now any Muan resident can enter the Mudflat Land by paying only 1,000 KRW.
Additionally, the county revised the ordinance to expand free admission for children up to 6 years old and to allow one accompanying guardian of a disabled person to receive an entrance fee discount.
This measure lowers the threshold for Hwangto Mudflat Land, enabling tourists from various social groups to experience the mudflats and enjoy leisure activities.
Furthermore, the county has resumed normal operations of the camping site and lodging facilities for groups of five or more, which had been closed due to social distancing measures, and expanded 10 duplex bungalows to continue the reputation of Hwangto Mudflat Land as a 1-night 2-day family healing travel destination and to provide unique experiences for stay-type tourists.
Governor Kim San stated, “We will continuously develop programs themed around Muan’s ecological resources, Hwangto and mudflats, to make Hwangto Mudflat Land a space where families can enjoy together regardless of time and place.”
