‘BeautyCraft’ Takes Off... Dongmyeong University Department of Beauty Care, a Cradle for Beauty R&D and Startups
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The 'Beauty Craft' startup center, which deals with content research and practical entrepreneurship in the beauty field, opened at Dongmyung University on the 7th.
The center, created by the Department of Beauty Care at Dongmyung University, held an opening ceremony and a talent-sharing event on the same day.
Local community residents were invited to experience head spa treatments using organic products and the latest equipment, and personalized cosmetics optimized for individual skin using an AI-integrated skin analysis system.
This was a practice of sharing talents in nail and makeup.
Wyatt Doctor for Hair donated goods worth 3 million KRW. Yakson Myungga awarded a scholarship of 2 million KRW to a student from the Department of Beauty Care.
The Beauty Craft Center is a beauty startup center operated by the Department of Beauty Care at Dongmyung University, running an on-campus head spa and a specialized lab for customized cosmetics.
Its goal is to enhance students' practical field skills to equip them with competitiveness upon graduation or entrepreneurship.
The center plans to expand from next year a problem-solving talent development program practicing Learning By Doing through hair coloring and makeup studio facilities and operations.
The Beauty Craft Center intends to provide space for head spa rooms and cosmetic manufacturing labs to local beauty professionals and small-scale DIY cosmetics business owners.
By sharing expensive equipment, it aims to resolve business challenges for small-capital entrepreneurs and youth, and to lead job creation by offering educational programs to local residents.
