Peace House, Together with Namwon Yongseong Rotary Club, Prepares Outdoor Rest Area

[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-kwon] Peace House (Director Kim Jong-yeol) announced on the 8th that it had established an outdoor resting area at Peace House on the 6th in collaboration with the Namwon Yongseong Rotary Club of Rotary International District 3670 (President Jeong Young-kwon).

The Namwon Yongseong Rotary Club has had a long-standing relationship with Peace House and has continuously practiced sharing, including improving the meal environment for residents in 2018.

This resting area was created to improve the lives of residents living in the facility, whose social activity participation has been further restricted during the difficult times when the entire nation is practicing mask-wearing and social distancing due to COVID-19, and who have been confined to limited spaces for long periods.

With the active interest and support of the Namwon Yongseong Rotary Club of Rotary International District 3670, a comfortable resting area was established where residents can safely spend time outside the building.

The newly created outdoor resting area at Peace House is expected to greatly contribute to diversifying the monotonous daily lives of residents, who have faced many physical movement restrictions due to COVID-19, and above all, to their psychological stability and daily vitality through a shelter prepared considering the residents' preferences.

Director Kim Jong-yeol said, "An outdoor resting area has been prepared where residents can safely use it anytime, escaping from the limited physical space," and added, "I would like to express my gratitude once again for the improved quality of life of the residents, and also thank many people in the local community who helped establish this outdoor resting area."
