[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Hanssem announced on the 8th that it has invested 3 billion KRW in GOQUAL, a specialized venture company in home IoT (Internet of Things), as it officially enters the smart home market.
GOQUAL is a home IoT specialized venture company that develops various products to realize smart homes, such as smart electric curtains, lighting, and home cameras, and operates and develops its own cloud platform that can interconnect these devices. Recently, it has been expanding its scope in the IoT field by conducting smart space consulting businesses such as smart offices and smart stores.
Hanssem decided on this investment by highly evaluating GOQUAL's technology and growth potential, which operates its own cloud platform and has capabilities in smart device development. This can also be seen as a strategy to secure a leading position in the smart home sector, the future direction of the interior market.
Going forward, Hanssem plans to continue investing in promising venture companies with competitiveness in the market. It will also simultaneously develop home network platforms and smart devices to realize smart homes.
Furthermore, Hanssem plans to complete a 'smart home one-stop package' that can be proposed to customers by integrating the smart devices operated by various home appliance companies and the home network platform development capabilities of IT companies into its remodeling business, Hanssem Rehouse.
