[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Seven Eleven announced on the 8th that it will hold a unique event giving away free "Gulf drinks" and "Slurpees" at six major Food Dream stores in the Seoul area starting at 7 a.m. on the 11th. Gulf is a drink served in a large paper cup filled with carbonated beverage, and Slurpee is a slush made by mixing ice and juice.
To promote recycling culture in daily life, Seven Eleven will provide Gulf drinks free of charge to the first 300 customers who bring their personal tumblers on that day. Eco-friendly straws made from corn starch will also be distributed. Customers participating in the event are required to upload a certification photo with their tumbler on their personal social networking service (SNS) channels. Slurpees will also be given free to the first 200 customers who bring their own containers along with the event participation certification photo.
