Gwangju Buk-gu Executes Second Half Organizational Restructuring to Strengthen 'Administrative Demand Functions'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Moon In) will implement a second half organizational restructuring personnel change on the 12th to enhance functions in response to efficient organizational operation and the surge in administrative demand.
According to Buk-gu on the 6th, this organizational restructuring mainly involves the reallocation of departments by beneficiary groups such as the elderly, disabled, and children to respond to welfare demands, and the establishment of a dedicated team to support tasks following the enforcement of the Machinery Equipment Act.
The administrative organization will be expanded to 5 bureaus, 1 division, 2 offices, 1 hall, 34 departments, and 142 teams, which is an increase of 1 office, 1 department, and 5 teams compared to before, and the total staff will be adjusted to 1,293, an increase of 11 personnel.
First, to strengthen communication with residents and realize an open district administration, a Public Relations Office will be newly established, and after abolishing the Hope Welfare Department, departments will be reallocated and newly established by welfare beneficiary groups, resulting in the creation of the Disabled Welfare Department and the Child Welfare Department.
To unify public data and statistics tasks and expand big data operations, a Big Data Team will be newly established, and to support youth jobs and youth assistance, a Youth Policy Team and a Youth Team will be operated.
A dedicated Machinery Support Team will be established to support non-technical department tasks related to the Machinery Equipment Act.
District Mayor Moon In of Buk-gu said, “We will strive to provide high-level administrative services and contribute to improving residents' quality of life through more detailed and specialized organizational management.”
