Bank of Korea Governor Lee Ju-yeol to Depart on 7th for G20 Finance Ministers Meeting and Other Engagements
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Eun-byeol] Lee Ju-yeol, Governor of the Bank of Korea, will depart on the 7th to attend the 'G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting' held in Venice, Italy from the 9th to the 10th.
This will be Governor Lee's first direct attendance at an international meeting since the 'G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting' held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in February last year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he has attended meetings online or through other non-face-to-face methods until now.
The Bank of Korea stated, "Governor Lee plans to exchange views with finance ministers, central bank governors of member countries, and senior officials of international financial institutions on key agenda items such as the global economic outlook, stable recovery measures, climate-related sustainable finance, and financial sector issues."
