'Gwangjin Mom Taxi' Annual Support Amount Increased from 70,000 Won to 100,000 Won
From July, Annual 100,000 KRW Support for Gwangjin Mom Taxi Vouchers Expanded... Survey on Household Care Services for Pregnant Women Conducted, Satisfaction Over 90%
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Seon-gap) will expand the support amount for the 'Gwangjin Mom Taxi' usage voucher from 70,000 KRW to 100,000 KRW per household starting July 1.
The Gwangjin Mom Taxi, a collaboration between the district and i.M Taxi, was launched in May this year to assist pregnant women and families with infants under 12 months in the area with transportation convenience for medical and health management purposes.
It can be called immediately via a smartphone app without reservation, and is available during nighttime and holidays, which is a major advantage.
Moreover, it can be used not only for hospitals and clinics but also for Korean medicine clinics, public health centers, pharmacies, postpartum care centers, and health management program purposes, receiving great response from pregnant women and families with infants in the area.
Additionally, the district conducted a survey targeting users of the 'Pregnant Women Household Care Support Service' implemented since March this year.
The survey results showed that 81.1% of respondents felt that the current service provision frequency of four times was appropriate, and over 90% expressed high satisfaction with the service linkage procedures and overall service.
So far, 180 people have applied for the pregnant women household care service, and while conducting additional surveys, the district plans to strengthen promotion through its website, newsletters, and SNS.
