Coupang announced on the 2nd that it held the '2021 Gyeongbuk Sale Festa Rocket Delivery Product Evaluation Meeting' for SMEs located in the western region of Gyeongsangbuk-do who wish to join Coupang, in collaboration with the Gyeongsangbuk-do Economic Promotion Agency.
The evaluation meeting held on the 30th of last month was attended by about 50 micro, small and medium enterprises and social economy enterprises based in Gyeongsangbuk-do. Participants showcased products with excellent quality and competitiveness, ranging from local specialties such as shiitake mushrooms, doenjang (fermented soybean paste), and gochujang (red chili paste) to processed foods and small electronic devices, and shared know-how on online sales.
At the product evaluation meeting, Coupang guided participants on how to join Rocket Delivery through direct purchase and provided various sales information to help local SMEs unfamiliar with online sales. Additionally, Coupang’s category-specific brand managers (BMs) attended to provide on-site consulting on online sales know-how, including marketing, promotion, and product search.
Companies that joined Coupang Rocket Delivery through this product evaluation meeting can participate in Coupang’s ongoing 'Cheer Up Korea, Gyeongbuk Sale Festa Promotion.' The Coupang 'Gyeongbuk Sale Festa Promotion' plans to offer immediate discount benefits worth 1 billion KRW from March to December through the Gyeongsangbuk-do Economic Promotion Agency, with Coupang supporting an additional 1 billion KRW worth of marketing and advertising activities.
