Implementation of Disinfection Support Project for Small Business Stores in Blind Spots of Quarantine in Geochang-gun
Selection of 4 Quarantine Personnel and Expansion of Quarantine to Small Business Stores in 11 Myeon Units
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, will conduct a quarantine support project focusing on small business stores vulnerable to quarantine for four months starting July 5 to prevent and curb the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
This COVID-19 Overcoming Small Business Store Quarantine Support Project is led by Gyeongnam Province and implemented by the Gyeongnam Economic Promotion Agency. It was promoted to create public jobs for small business owners struggling due to COVID-19 and to assist small business owners in blind spots.
The county plans to select four quarantine personnel and divide the area by zones, expanding quarantine efforts from small business stores in Geochang-eup to small business stores in 11 myeon-level districts.
In addition, the four quarantine personnel will not only conduct on-site quarantine to prevent the spread of COVID-19 but also provide guidance on social distancing guidelines and voluntary quarantine.
Gu In-mo, the governor of Geochang-gun, said, “Our county has received great support from residents as a result of various efforts such as providing the Geochang-type emergency disaster relief fund to overcome COVID-19, and we will continue to do our best to revitalize the economy.”
