Sancheong Cultural Center Operates Our Neighborhood History Travel Program
Recruiting Participants for August, October, and November to Visit Local Residents and Namsa Yedamchon
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Sancheong Cultural Center in Gyeongnam announced on the 2nd that it operated the "Our Neighborhood History Travel" program as part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's "Culture Day" contest project.
The Sancheong Cultural Center's "Culture Day" is a historical exploration support project hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Cultural Center Association, and sponsored by Sancheong County.
Held over a total of four sessions, the recent "Our Neighborhood History Travel" consisted of a historical and cultural exploration of Namsa Yedam Village, with members of the Sancheong Cultural Center's Danseong Chinese Character Class and local residents participating.
The Culture Day program will continue with a Gugak (traditional Korean music) trip to Gisan Gugakdang in August, appreciation of the "Jeokbyeok Eumyeong Poetry Collection" and an exploration of the Jeokbyeoksan area in October, and a visit to the tomb of Mun Ik-jeom and cotton experience activities in November.
